The Muslim Qur'an (Koran) and Muslim Hadith are unique among all the sacred writings in the entire world -- because they alone counsel its followers to make war on unbelievers.
Both Muslim holy books (Qur'an/Koran and Hadith) contain commands for Muslims to subjugate the world, militarily. Muhammad commanded Muslims to spread Islam through Offensive Jihad; or conquest of non-Muslim lands. Muslims are also commanded to take back any land that was formerly Muslim, such as Israel.
Radical Muslims believe that they are Mujahideen, or "holy warriors of Allah". Their goal, like Islam's goal is to establish the entire world as a pure Islamic state (a Khalifah), which conforms to Islamic laws

Iran's sexist and Islamofascist "president" invites Bush to Islam. Why? Because he knows that Islam's best tactic is to a) hide behind West's freedom of religion and b) sponge on Bush's (US) religiosity.
Salim Mansur (a "moderate" Islamist): "What is being insisted by one side, by those who hold on to official Islam as a frozen shell, is that the Prophet is infallible; and on the other side, those non-Muslims who mock the ideals of Islam by insisting that since the Prophet does not accord with their respective ideals Islam is analogous to Marxism and such other “isms”, in effect it is not a transcendent faith and its worldwide adherents are irredeemably misguided."
Robert Spencer: "Unfortunately, I know already that despite the assumption of most Western analysts and government officials that a peaceful, moderate Islam is actually mainstream and dominant, neither Mr. Mansur nor anyone else can provide any concrete evidence that this is so."

Klevius comment: US is the land of the individual (the world's first revolution and the world's first true democracy), whereas Saudi-Arabia, Iran etc. are lands of totalitarian collectivism (compare former Sovjet). Freedom of religion means the individual's right to think - not the political aims of groups (and certainly not groups who declare the final solution).
So according to Salim Mansur Mohammed was just like you and me. Well, that seems a starting point for discussing Koranic Islam that begun emerging some two decades after Mohammed's death as a streamlined manual for successful conquest, enslavement and rapetivism.
The only historical rational behind Islam is the Arab slave merchants' (ab)use of ancient trade roads that happened to pass "their" territory. What else could they possibly do because they lacked skills for anything except robbery and trading (Arab craftsmen in towns and especially the nomads on countryside hence were somehow, in a general sense, excluded from the core of the slave business)? Like cancer metastases Arabic slave trade was linked to similar phenomenons in remote areas, only with the difference that the trade was now coordinated and centered through Mecca, one of the most important water holes in the trading network, and already established as perhaps the foremost slave center in the world. see Origin of Islam!
