A Labour MP, Emily Thornberry, who lives in a £3million home in Islington, North London and is a close ally of Ed Miliband and the party's shadow attorney general, has been forced to apologize after being accused of holding working class voters in "contempt" for tweeting a pic of a terraced family home draped in England flags ("image from #Rochester").

She quickly issued an apology after Ed Miliband intervened and made it "very clear" that he believes people should be able to fly the England flag with pride.


SWEDEN


Söndrumsskolan (school) in Halmstad, southern Sweden, forbids the use of the Swedish flag after some students on a masquerade painted their face with it.
According to the principal Hans Åkerlund, the use of the flag is 'incitement to racial hatred' and 'risks offending other individuals'.  The school board also forbade the students from carrying anything signing the Swedish flag for school photography which ought to be 'free from national symbols'.
